Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Specialised Exhibitions — a division of Montgomery Group, explains that such is the success of the expo, that it was deemed timeous to afford Firexpo its own Seminar Theatre. Firexpo exhibitor — Carrier Fire and Security South Africa — stepped up to the plate and partnered with Firexpo to ensure an entertaining three days of trending topics for visitors.
All-round fire safety detection
Carrier will use the opportunity to launch its new Kidde Commercial EXCELLENCE-protocol 2X-A and 2X-AT panels. For easy migration, these intelligent addressable devices can be used in combination with Carrier’s legacy Aritech devices.
Based on the same 2X-A panel features and with full backwards compatibility, the new Kidde Commercial panels include an improved user interface on the 2X-AT variant, with a 7” colour touchscreen — a very useful feature for customers preferring an alternative to the 2X-A jog dial.
The Kidde Commercial 2X-A and 2X-AT panels, together with the EXCELLENCE Series detectors, modules, and manual call points, provide a complete intelligent fire detection system, incorporating leading-edge technology.
The benefits of the Kidde Commercial panels and EXCELLENCE Series devices include:
- Cost effective installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
- Reduced losses and casualties.
- An expandable and upgradeable system as schedules allow.
The EXCELLENCE Series provides all the functionality of a large system, built into a system for small to mid-range applications.
